Chris graduated from the University of Sheffield in 2017 with an Upper Second Class Honours in Law with Spanish Law. Following graduation, Chris spent a year in Madrid to further develop his Spanish language skills before subsequently returning to the Island.Following his return to the Island, Chris spent 2 years working at a large e-gaming firm where he worked closely with the in-house legal team on various contracts with local and international clients; gaining valuable experience in a commercial environment and further developing his legal skills.In 2020 Chris resumed his legal studies and returned to the University of Sheffield to complete his Legal Practice Course, which he graduated from with Distinction.Following completion of his studies, Chris moved back to the Isle of Man, where he had lived all of his life prior to University. Chris joined the team as a Trainee Advocate in September 2021 before qualifying as a Manx Advocate in November 2023.During Chris’s training period, as well as spending time in a number of areas in the firm including Dispute Resolution and Private Client, Chris took a particular interest in Corporate and Commercial and Immigration work. Chris assists on a broad range of matters in these areas, including shareholder arrangements; business and asset purchases; business incorporations and corporate governance and Worker and Business Migrant visa applications, along with a broad range of other matters across the Corporate and Immigration spectrum.
